It was a happy reunion at this year’s HDB Annual Conference (HDBAC). For the first time since COVID, our HDB Management Teams, Board Members as well as many of our colleagues were invited back to the traditional host venue at the HDB Auditorium for this annual event.

I am very happy to be back at our HDB Auditorium to address you. Standing here in front of you feels so comfortably familiar and something I have missed over the last two years. Good to be back. Good to feel the excitement and energy.

-Mr Bobby Chin, HDB Chairman

A key highlight at every HDBAC, let’s recap Chairman’s opening remarks and his own take on the ABC of a Resilient HDB Team:

Appreciation for Our Resilient Warriors

I think that we can never overstate the important role it (resilience) has played in helping us ride through this pandemic. I would like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to all our staff and to  recognise  the exceptional resilience of a few special groups of staff.

Better Ways of Working

Turning a crisis into an opportunity, Chairman applauded the good work of the HDB team in finding better ways of working during the pandemic to meet new challenges, demands and priorities.

As we leave the intensity of the COVID era behind us, we must lock-in the gains we have made and the lessons we have learned by reviewing the plans for HDB going forward, to see what changes we need to make in the work that we do and the way that we work.

C atalyst for a Stronger HDB

  • Forward-looking in developing the capabilities to meet the demands and priorities now and in the future.
  • Flexible in our response to crises and challenges.
  • Fulfilling in the meaningful purpose of our work to uplift and transform the lives of fellow citizens.
